Building a Global Investment Network: Jeffrey Nah’s EMBA Story

In 2014, after over 30 years working as a banker and entrepreneur, Jeffrey Nah found himself at a pivotal moment. Looking to transition into becoming an investor, he recognized the need to sharpen his skills and expand his network. That’s when he chose to pursue an executive MBA.

The program equipped Jeffrey with strategic frameworks that helped him convert practical experience into concise, actionable insights. These tools improved his strategic thinking, enabling him to better control his business strategies and decision-making processes.

Beyond skills, the EMBA significantly widened Jeffrey’s global network. He has had the opportunity to collaborate with alumni from previous cohorts, form partnerships, and even secure investments. Thanks to the connections he made through the program, Jeffrey has been able to grow and scale his businesses across the Asia-Pacific region. One of Jeffrey Nah’s significant achievements post-EMBA is his investment in a MedTech company in California. He notes, “I would not have invested in a MedTech company in California that is now going through series C without the network I built through the UCLA-NUS Executive MBA. This network has been instrumental in his various investments across India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, and the United States. “The program has helped me build a strong network across the world, which today, as an investor and entrepreneur, has been very beneficial.”

Overall, the UCLA-NUS EMBA has been a key driver in Jeffrey’s personal growth, business success, and international collaborations. His experience underscores how the right education combined with a strong network can open doors to new opportunities.
